Good but not great
This musical video from Banco Popular of Puerto Rico was not as great as other musical videos they have produced. Many of the performers (Manny Manuel, Ileana Merceds, Tito Allen, et al.) had excellent performances but the production was not as good as Banco Popular's previous productions. In this musical video Banco Popular pays tribute to popular music from the 50's to the 80's and the record industry in Puerto Rico. As a colector of Banco Popular's musical productions my expectations about this video was very high. This production is still very entertaining, and I would probably had purchased it because of the artist performing in the video.
BPPR 2012 special
The production started great but it deteriorated. The theme was perfect, but the quality of the singers used was very poor. They should have used better singers. The musical direction was not to the caliber of Cuco Pena. I gave it a 3 stars because I don't want to discourage Banco Popular to discontinue the excellent tradition. It's the only musical show that year after year I am anxiously waiting for it to come out. I have the entire collection and there are some that were so well-done that I keep watching them. I hope that next year they use better known native singers...
Not so great
It was okay. The older shows are much better than the shows for the past 3 or 4 years. I wasn't impressed.
